Dr. Tomas Patrocinio

Dr. Tomas Patrocinio graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUCCAMP), and held a Medical Residency in Otorhinolaryngology at the Hospital de Clínicas da UFU (2006-2008). In 2009, he carried out fellowship programs in Facial Plastic Surgery at world-renowned Universities, complementing his specialization. In Bogotá, Colombia, he interned with Dr. Fernando Pedroza, considered the best facial plastic surgeon in Latin America, creator of rhinoplasty techniques such as Novos Domos and Asa de Gaivota.

 

In the United States, he interned at the University of Miami (FL) with Dr. Roy Cassiano, Dr Richard Davis and Dr. Bob Simons, creator of the Vertical Dome Division (VDV) technique, used for dark-skinned patients, common in our region. At the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute with Dr. David Tse, an ophthalmologist dedicated to eye plastic surgery, followed eyelid rejuvenation surgeries. Interned at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore (MD) with Dr. Ira Papel, author of the most used book on facial plastic in the USA (Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery), when he had the opportunity to follow advanced techniques of wrinkle surgery (rhytidoplasty), eyebrow repositioning and rhinoplasty.

 

He also accompanied Dr Patrick Byrne at Johns Hopkins University, dedicated to facial reconstructive surgery. Currently, Dr. Tomas Patrocinio is a member of the Brazilian Association of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Surgery, of the Brazilian Academy of Plastic Surgery of the Face and of the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies.

Dr. Lucas Patrocinio

Graduated in Medicine (2003) and medical residency in Otorhinolaryngology (2006) from the Federal University of Uberlândia. He has a specialist title from the AMB in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery. PhD in Health Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of São José do Rio Preto (2009).

 

He is currently a member of the Brazilian Association of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Surgery, of the Brazilian Association of Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery, of the Medical Society of Uberlândia, of the Central Brazilian Association of Otorhinolaryngology, of the Brazilian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He is coordinator of the medical residency program in Otorhinolaryngology and Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery at the Federal University of Uberlândia.

 

He is a physician on the clinical staff of the otorhinolaryngology department at Hospital Santa Genoveva - OTOFACE. Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Otorhinolaryngological and Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery, working mainly on the following subjects: otorhinolaryngology, craniomaxillofacial surgery, facial plastic, endoscopic surgery and rhinoplasty.

Dr. Jose Antonio Patrocinio

In 1976, he finished his undergraduate course in Medicine at the Federal University of Curitiba. There he took the specialization course in Otorhinolaryngology, coming to work in Uberlândia in January 1979.He has exercised his private activity, since then, at the Santa Genoveva Hospital, at the Otoface Clinic and is a Full Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at the Federal University of Uberlândia. He completed his Master's and Doctorate at the Federal University of São Paulo.

He was Vice-President of the Brazilian Association of Otorhinolaryngology and CervicoFacial Surgery, President of the Brazilian Society of Rhinology and Facial Plastic, President and Founder of the Brazilian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, founder and President twice of the Central Brazilian Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Vice-President of the Panamerican Society of Otorhinolaryngology, President of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the Medical Society of Uberlândia.

He is currently a Brazilian representative at the International Federation of Societies of Plastic Surgery of the Face and a member of the Board of International Certification of Face Plastic Surgery. He is on the Editorial Board of the Revista Brasileira de Otorrinolaringologia and of JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery, one of the main face plastic magazines in the world.​​ He has more than 200 scientific papers published in national and international journals, books and book chapters published in Brazil and abroad, more than 300 presentations as a professor at national and international conferences.

He is the President of the next World Congress of Face Plastic, to be held in Brazil in 2016. He has held several positions at the Brazilian Association of Otorhinolaryngology and is currently part of the Scientific Events Committee.

As Head of the Medical Residency Service in Otorhinolaryngology at UFU, since 1982, he has trained more than 90 specialists in the field.
